YMCA South Midlands has been named a finalist in two categories at this year’s Milton Keynes Inspiration Awards, recognising both its leadership and community impact.
Our very own CEO Simon Green has been shortlisted for the Inspirational Role Model award, reflecting his 17 years of leading the organisation and supporting young people to live happy, healthy and independent lives.
Speaking in response to the nomination Simon said: Simon Green, CEO of YMCA South Midlands, said:
“I’m humbled to have been nominated for the Inspirational Role Model Award. Being CEO of YMCA South Midlands is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Every day, we’re focused on helping young people find stability, independence and the confidence they need to fulfil their potential. This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team, our partners and the community that stands behind us. None of this work happens alone.“
Also recognised is HomeGround Café, a finalist in the Inspiring Bistro/Café category. Based at the Milton Keynes campus, the café reinvests its proceeds into YMCA services, helping more young people to belong, contribute and thrive as they build brighter, more independent futures. The HomeGround Team are delighted to have been nominated with our Social Enterprise Manager adding:
“Thank you to everyone who nominated us. Your support truly means so much.”
Winners will be announced on 20th June at Willen Lake, celebrating individuals and organisations making a difference across Milton Keynes.
If you’ve had a positive experience with YMCA South Midlands or HomeGround Café, we’d be so grateful for your support.
