This weekend, teams from Merkur Casino Milton Keynes, Marshall Amplification and NiftyLift swapped their offices for dragon boats in support of YMCA South Midlands, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, determination and community spirit as they paddled to raise vital funds for local young people.
“We are incredibly grateful to every team member who paddled, fundraised and championed YMCA South Midlands this weekend. Your passion, energy and commitment will have a lasting impact on the lives of young people across the South Midlands.” – Hollie-Jasmine, Fundraising and Partnerships Officer
Adding to an already inspiring day, Team Nifty Lift claimed third place in the dragon boat race, Team Mercur won fundraising champion and Team Marshall won best performing mixed team, capping off a fantastic day of friendly competition and collaboration. But beyond the finish line, the greatest achievement was the difference made together.
Collectively, Merkur Casino Milton Keynes, Marshall Amplification and NiftyLift raised over an outstanding £4000 in total to support YMCA South Midlands’ work with young people across the region. These funds will help provide essential accommodation, wellbeing services and opportunities that equip young people with the confidence and skills to build brighter, more independent futures.
The event is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when businesses unite behind a shared purpose. Through their fundraising, enthusiasm and support, these organisations have helped strengthen YMCA South Midlands’ mission to create lasting opportunities for young people who need them most.
From everyone at YMCA South Midlands, thank you to Merkur Casino Milton Keynes, Marshall Amplification and NiftyLift for making such a meaningful impact. Together, we are helping to create brighter futures for the next generation.
