Everyone at YMCA South Midlands is incredibly proud of our Chair, Jenny Walker, who was shortlisted as a finalist in the Milton Keynes Women’s Leader Awards 2026.
While Jenny wasn’t the overall winner this year, being recognised as one of the finalists is a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the outstanding leadership, dedication, and compassion she brings to YMCA South Midlands and the wider community.
Throughout her time as Chair, Jenny has championed our vision, supported our teams, and helped strengthen our organisation so that we can continue creating opportunities for young people and communities across the South Midlands. Her commitment to making a positive difference, empowering others, and leading with integrity inspires everyone who has the privilege of working alongside her.
The awards evening was also a wonderful opportunity to meet so many inspiring women from across Milton Keynes. Hearing the stories of the other finalists and learning about the incredible work they are leading in their organisations and communities was both humbling and uplifting. The breadth of talent, passion, and commitment on display was a powerful reminder of the difference that strong, compassionate leadership can make.
We would like to congratulate this year’s winner and all of the finalists for their well-deserved recognition. It was an honour for Jenny and YMCA South Midlands to be part of such a celebration of inspirational women making a lasting impact across our city.
Jenny, thank you for your unwavering commitment, wisdom, and leadership. We are immensely proud of you and delighted to see your contribution recognised on such a prestigious stage.
Congratulations, Jenny, and congratulations to all of this year’s Women’s Leader Awards finalists and winner.
